About Pauli

Paulina is a mother of two in her late thirties who has been learning and teaching about Bato People for the past 15 years.
She is a specialist in ancient history and patrimony, an expert in the history of clay and its uses, and a collaborator in the investigations about pottery regarding Bato culture in Chile.

In her spare time Pauli, aka “Tia Greda” (Aunty Clay) enjoys reading and writing, runs a program to motivate children to read, and dreams about founding the first University of tradicional arts and crafts in Chile.

About the Experience

Paulina welcomes you into her house, to experience the life of a traditional middle class Chilean family in a 4 hour hands on activity to learn the way in which ancestral cultures developed pottery in Chile.

Unearth History:

Begin by discovering and extracting natural clay from the land, just as the Bato people did centuries ago.

Hands-On Crafting:

Prepare the clay with your hands and learn to shape a clay dish under the guidance of a Bato clay educator, while hearing fascinating stories about this ancient culture and their pottery techniques.

This experience uniquely blends history, creativity,
and nature, connecting
